1	lb	Dates
1/2	c	Water
1 1/2	c	Flour
1	ts	Baking powder
6	tb	Butter
1	ts	Vanilla
1/2	c	Sugar
2	md	Egg yolks
2	md	Egg whites,beaten
1	c	Brown sugar

Add 1/2 cup of water to the dates and cook until thick. Mix together the flour,baking powder,butter,vanilla,white sugar and two egg yolks.Press into pan and spread with the dates. Combine the 2 egg whites,beaten and one cup od brown sugar.Spread over dates.Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350F.
